How to get rid of redness

    One of the most frequent questions I get as a makeup artist is how to combat redness & rosacea. Believe it or not, it is as easy as green. Yes, I said green like the color. When it comes to color correcting it is all about the opposite of whatever color you do not want on your face. When it comes to red you want to color correct with green. I really like using a cream corrector because I think they melt beautifully into the skin but any form with do & if you have oily skin, you might prefer a powder-based color corrector to also provide some shine & oil control.

I was able to achieve this by applying multiple layers of toilet paper, unrolled cotton balls, & lots of latex until I got the desired texture I was looking for. After everything dried, I used a heavy-set foundation and face powder to set the prosthetic. Then I used both fresh & scab blood to create a gruesome bleeding & scarred over effect in the openings of the prosthetic. Once all the special effects products were in place, I used my everyday makeup products to produce a “beauty” look on the other side of my face for added contrast.
